2017 Pre-Season Schedule Announced

SPOKANE, Wash. / CALGARY, Alta. – As announced by the Western Hockey League on Wednesday, the Spokane Chiefs’ 2017 pre-season schedule will include seven games beginning September 1 against Portland at Everett’s Xfinity Arena.

Spokane will participate in Everett’s annual pre-season tournament over Labor Day Weekend, facing the Winterhawks on Friday, Vancouver Giants on Saturday and Seattle Thunderbirds on Sunday.

The Chiefs will then compete at the Tri-City Americans’ pre-season tournament in Kennewick, taking on Portland once again on Sept. 7 and Seattle on Sept. 8 before their first head-to-head matchup with the Americans on Sept. 9.

Spokane will close out the league’s pre-season schedule on Sept. 16 as they’ll face the Americans again in Kennewick. The Chiefs will not host a 2017 WHL pre-season game.

The 2017-18 WHL regular season schedule, including all 72 Chiefs games (36 home), will be unveiled in late June.

September 3 – vs. Seattle – 3 p.m. – Everett, Wash.

September 7 – vs. Portland – 3 p.m. – Kennewick, Wash.

September 8 – vs. Seattle – 3 p.m. – Kennewick, Wash.

September 9 – vs. Tri-City – 7:05 p.m. – Kennewick, Wash.

September 16 – vs. Tri-City – 7:05 p.m. – Kennewick, Wash.
