Spokane Chiefs defenseman Filip Kral has officially been named to Team Czech Republic’s final roster for the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship in Buffalo, N.Y. Team Czech Republic opens up the WJC when it takes on Team Russia on Tuesday, Dec. 26 vs. Denmark (9 a.m. PT) on NHL Network.

Kral, 18, is one of just 6 defensemen listed on the final roster. The 2017 2nd Round CHL Import Draft Pick has 15 points (3G, 12A) in 22 games with the Chiefs in his debut season.

Kral’s teammate and Spokane native Kailer Yamamoto, who is representing Team USA, will take the ice against Team Denmark on Tuesday night at 5 p.m. You can catch that game, and all other Team USA games, on NHL Network.
