SPOKANE HOSTS SEATTLE FRIDAY NIGHT

SECOND HALF OF A HOME-AND-HOME SERIES

The Spokane Chiefs will host the Seattle Thunderbirds in the second half of a home-and-home series with their U.S. Division rivals.  Seattle skated to a 6-4 win on Tuesday night in Kent's ShoWare center.

The two teams will help the Chiefs and Hot 96.9 celebrate Boomer's Birthday.  Tickets for all home games are available by calling the Chiefs' office at (509) 535-PUCK or TicketsWest at (800) 325-SEAT.  

Seattle is only the second U.S. Division team that the Chiefs have played this year after a pair of games versus Tri-City.  Spokane has played four B.C. Division opponents and one Central Division opponent, Lethbridge, in their first eight games of the season.  

Spokane and Seattle will play Seattle nine times this season, including five home games.  Spokane will travel on Tuesday and host the Thunderbirds on Friday.  Spokane will play Seattle three straight games from January 5th through the 9th, twice in Seattle and once in Spokane.  Spokane won the season series last year with five wins in eight games.  In seven games Dylan Walchuk had two goals and seven points.  Mike Aviani had three goals and six points and Brenden Kichton had two goals and six points in the series.  Kichton was also a +7.  On average, the Chiefs outshot Seattle 36.6-24.6.  Spokane outshot Seattle in all eight games.  The Chiefs led after two periods four times (3-1) and trailed just once (0-1).  Three of the eight games were tied after two periods (2-1).
