Spokane Chiefs forward Kailer Yamamoto┬áhas officially been named to Team USA’s final roster for the upcoming 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship in Buffalo, N.Y., as announced by USA Hockey on Saturday morning. Team USA kicks off their tournament schedule on Tuesday, Dec. 26 vs. Denmark (5 p.m. PT).

Yamamoto, 19, is one of 13 forwards named to final roster. The Spokane native has 12 points (2G, 10A) in 13 games with the Chiefs this season since being reassigned by the Oilers in early November.

Team USA and Team Canada will face off in the first ever World Junior Championship outdoor game on Dec. 29 at Buffalo’s New Era Field. All Team USA games will be broadcast live on NHL Network.
