2019-20 Regular Season Schedule Announced

Spokane, Wash. / Calgary — The Spokane Chiefs’ 2019-20 regular season game schedule was announced by the Western Hockey League on Wednesday, including all 34 home games to be played at Spokane Arena, beginning with Bud Light Opening Night & Pre-Game Party versus the Tri-City Americans on Saturday, September 28.

In total, the Chiefs will play 68 regular season games – 34 home and 34 away – from September 2019 to March 2020.

Spokane Arena will host 27 weekend home games, including 10 Fridays, 14 Saturdays and three Sundays. The remainder of the home schedule will take place on Tuesdays (three games) and Wednesdays (four).

The Chiefs will embark on their biennial trip through the Central Division towards the end of February and beginning of March. The team will enjoy a seven-game home stand from Oct. 23-Nov. 9 that will allow them to avoid leaving Spokane Arena for nearly four weeks. Their longest stretch without a home game will span three weeks from Dec. 7-28 as the team plays four consecutive road games prior to the mid-season holiday break, after which they’ll visit the Seattle Thunderbirds before returning to Spokane Arena on Saturday, December 28 versus Tri-City.

In addition to Bud Light Opening Night & Pre-Game Party on Sept. 29, the Chiefs have also tentatively scheduled two other fan favorite promotions. Leinenkugel’s HOCKtoberfest will take place on Saturday, Oct. 12 when Spokane hosts the Victoria Royals. The annual Teddy Bear Toss will happen on Saturday, Dec. 7 as the Chiefs take on Tri-City. The Chiefs’ complete 2019-20 promotional schedule will be released at a later date.
