Four former Chiefs were involved in Stanley Cup Playoff action on Tuesday, including two who took 3-1 series leads.

Tampa Bay (2) at Columbus (1) — TBL leads 3-1

Tyler Johnson (2007-11) had two shots on goal and two penalty minutes in 14:16 of ice time as his Lightning put the Blue Jackets on the brink of elimination with a 2-1 win on Monday.

All the scoring was done in the second period as both goaltenders — Andrei Vasilevskiy for Tampa and Joonas Korpisalo for Columbus — were solid.

Colorado (7) at Arizona (1) — COL leads 3-1

Jared Bednar (1991-92) coached the Avs to a 7-1 whalloping of Michael Grabner’s (2004-07) Coyotes. The Avalanche scored three goals in six minutes to close out the first period and never looked back.

Grabner finished -1 with two penalty minutes in 12:45 on the ice.

St. Louis (3) at Vancouver (1) — Series tied 2-2

Travis Green (1986-90) suffered his second loss behind the bench during the first round as his Canucks struggled to find offense in a 3-1 loss against the defending champion Blues. Ryan O’Reilly led the way for St. Louis, scoring twice including what proved to be the game-winner in the second period.
