Former Chiefs captain Anderson-Dolan wins gold at 2021 IIHF World Championship

Former Spokane Chiefs star forward and team captain Jaret Anderson-Dolan put his name in the history books on Sunday as Canada won the gold medal at the 2021 IIHF World Championship in Riga, Latvia.

Canada defeated Finland 3-2 in the gold medal game. The Canadians claimed their first gold medal in five years, and 27th overall.

Anderson-Dolan, who racked up 113 goals and 236 points in 244 games with Spokane from 2o15-19, registered two assists in the tournament. He was part of a large WHL presence on the championship team, including assistant coach Michael Dyck (Vancouver), D Braden Scheider (Brandon), F Brandon Hagel (Red Deer) and G Adin Hill (Portland).
