The Calgary Flames have invited Chiefs’ defenseman Dalton Hamaliuk to their development camp, which begins Thursday, July 5.
Hamaliuk, 19, recorded career highs with the Chiefs in games played (71), goals (4), assists (12), points (16), and +/- (8) last season. Since being selected by the Chiefs in the second round (38th overall) of the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft, the Leduc, Alberta native has appeared in 213 games for the Chiefs.
Hamaliuk is one of 19 players attending the Flames’ development camp on a try-out agreement. Hamaliuk joins former Chief Zach Fischer in camp with Calgary after Fischer signed an AHL pact with Calgary on Monday.
