Forward Michael King followed four other Spokane Chiefs starting the 2020-21 season on a temporary loan, joining the Steinbach Pistons of the MJHL.

King, who has played 251 career WHL games — 129 with the Chiefs — scored a hat trick in his MJHL debut last night, helping the Pistons to a 6-1 win over Selkirk. All three goals came in the second period, setting a Pistons record for fastest hat trick at just five minutes and 19 seconds.

Last year, the Winnipeg native posted career highs with 13 goals and 11 assists for 24 points with Spokane.
