THE CHIEFS ARE WHL CHAMPIONS!

The Spokane Chiefs will be playing in the MasterCard Memorial Cup from May 16th through the 25th in Kitchener, Ontario.

The Spokane Chiefs have access to a limited amount of seats to the MasterCard Memorial Cup May 16th through the 25th in Kitchener, Ontario. Chief's fans can purchase full tournament passes through the Chief's office only from 9:00 am through 5:00 pm on Thursday, May 8th. Packages, which include tickets to every available game at the Memorial Cup, are $513. There will be no availability to purchase single game seats to Chiefs games. Ticket Packages to the Memorial Cup must be paid in full on Thursday.

Rutherford finished second on the Chiefs in goals scored (31), points (58) and penalty minutes (133) in the 2006-07 season. The 20-year-old also led the team with seven game winning goals. Rutherford scored a goal in six consecutive games from October 27th through November 7th, 2006. Rutherford scored the “Teddy Bear Goal” 1:47 into the game on December 9th against Portland in a 6-0 win. In his first eight games of the season, Rutherford had only two assists, but in the next 61 games he recorded 31 goals, 25 assists and 56 points. The 20-year-old appeared in a career high 69 games. Rutherford was acquired from the Vancouver Giants in September, 2006. In 2005-06 while with Vancouver, Rutherford appeared in 41 games and scored 4 goals and 10 points. Rutherford made his WHL debut with the Giants on February 16th, 2005 versus Red Deer.
