Update On Chiefs Player Koby Morrisseau

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Chiefs announced today that forward Koby Morrisseau returned to Spokane on Sunday, is doing well and is expected to make a full recovery from an injury sustained in Everett, Wash. on Saturday, Sept. 3 versus the Portland Winterhawks.

Morrisseau, a 16-year-old from Grandview, Manitoba, spent Saturday night in an Everett hospital after being taken off the ice following a check from behind penalty in the third period. Extensive tests and X-rays revealed no fractures or soft tissue damage.

Morrisseau will remain with the team while he completes a full recovery. No timeline has been set for his return.

Spokane’s next preseason game will be against the Everett Silvertips in Kennewick, Wash. on Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 3 p.m.

The Spokane Chiefs open the 2016-17 regular season on the road on September 24 before kicking off the home schedule with Bud Light Opening Night & Pre-Game Party on Saturday, October 1 versus the Tri-City Americans at Spokane Arena.
