The Quad City Mallards announced today that they have signed former Chiefs forward Liam Stewart. The Mallards are the ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild.

Stewart, a 6’1, 180-pound center out of Hermosa Beach, California, set career highs with 25 goals and 28 assists for 53 points for Spokane during the 2014-15 WHL season. He added two goals and an assist in six playoff games.

With 251 career games played, Stewart ranks 32nd in Chiefs’ franchise history. Over four seasons, he scored 57 goals, including 10 shorthanded goals, and 75 assists for 132 points. Stewart earned the team’s Rookie of the Year award following the 2011-12 campaign. He appeared in 32 career playoff games (tied for 37th in franchise history), scoring nine goals and adding an assist.

He will wear number 14 for the Mallards.
